Summer on the Horizon

A Very Busy May

We are having a great spring! The garden is busting with flowers in every color imaginable; as I write from the studio, I see, from one window, goldenrod, magenta, lavender, tomato red, palest pink, white, purple, orange, coral, cream, peach, and so much green! I can't imagine a more wonderful, secluded little spot. It continues to inspire me, and when I'm making jewelry, I find that I'm mixing colors in ways that surprise me. Rainbow is the color of the season!

The lovely and brilliant JULIE NEWMAN REED is the winner of our Big Spring Jewelry Giveaway! Julie's name was drawn from over 100 entries to win her choice of any piece in the shop. I'll be posting news about a New Contest soon, so stay tuned! Here's a taste of what could be yours...It's Julie's prize, Green Goddess jade, mother-of pearl, & sterling earrings:

Everyone's busy as we wind up another school year. One of the biggest benefits of being married to a teacher is having ALL of us free to play all summer long! A trip to Stone Harbor (NJ) is in order, of course, and in August, Aidan & Lucy will be accompanying Nonna & Gramps on an adventure that will take them to Glacier National Park and parts of Canada & the Northern U.S.. Jeremy and I hope to take a little trip somewhere while they're gone, and welcome your suggestions!

May has been a great month for Willie & Lu, as we were accepted by PapernStitch, an online curated gallery of handcrafted art and craft. I confess that I've been denied a few times before, so it's extra special to be a part of PapernStitch's May exhibition!!!  I hope you'll visit the exhibition here: http://papernstitch.com/exhibition  If you see something you like, you'll be linked directly to my Etsy shop, so any purchases will be made the old-fashioned Etsy way. Be sure to use coupon code PAPERNSTITCH10 for 10% OFF everything in the shop, for as long as we're on exhibit!

I'm listing loads of new pieces this month, and I've got some beautiful necklaces -- with earrings to match, if you want them to.  I've got so many new beads, I can't keep up with my desire to create! We'll be staying close to home for much of the summer, and I'm going to be focusing on bracelets, necklaces, and beautiful earrings, so please please please let me know what you'd like to see in the shop.

Here are a few of the newest designs in the shop. I welcome your comments, suggestions, questions, and even criticisms (if delicately put). Enjoy this season's graduations, weddings, vacations, picnics, and adventures!
