Saving Birds Ravaged by Oil Spill . . . and the rest of the pictures

We've chosen the organization that will receive our humble donations in June:  The Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research (tristatebird.org).  FYI:

20%+ of our June proceeds will be sent to the Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research: http://www.tristatebird.org/ *** "Experts from Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research are leading the wildlife rescue efforts following the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico. Tri-State's oil spill response team has been on the Gulf Coast since the last week in April and is working with their West Coast colleagues, International Bird Rescue Research Center, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to manage the rehabilitation of oiled wildlife. These response leaders are receiving additional support from other rehabilitators and wildlife and environmental organizations."

Re: The pictures ~ Email me if you're interested in these earrings (all earrings are $20 [or less] for the rest of the summer -- even these, which are reg. $28-30) . . . and stay tuned for more Venetian Glass beauties and additions to our Galactic Chic collection!  Don't forget that a large part of your purchase goes to help animals affected by the Spill. Reasons to Live in Los Angeles

Up to the MInute with Willie & Lu

Trying to think positively, I will add to this list periodically.  Let me know if you have any entries...

WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT L.A. ANYWAY?
trying to work it out, after 13 years...

1.  fuschia    and
2.  passion flowers -- There was nothing half as beautiful as these on Pandora
3.  Trader Joe's    -- I know, I know, it's obvious.  But STILL...
4.  Food Trucks     -- Evolving from the Roach-Coach taco stand; I'm so anxious to
make the rounds from sushi stands and tapas trucks.
5.  Open Windows    -- Where are the bugs?  There is much to be said about leaving
the doors open all day long, with no screens.  It lets in
                       that crisp, clean L.A. air

That's all I've got for now.

A Few Views from the Back Yard

Monkey caught a lizard -- a biggish one -- and it played dead for a while, then skedaddled away. I caught a nice image of a tiger swallowtail -- and thought of Wilmama and Aunt Ruth.  Lucy and Eva caught some rays -- and relished being 10 years old and in love with themselves.  In random order...
